New Facility Update

Hypervan has opened a 4,000-square-foot facility in Slidell, Louisiana. The site brings the company’s prototype fabrication, testing, crew training and customer demonstrations under one roof as its third vehicle build moves through certification, with field-service pilot programs set for early 2027.

The facility is built around four functions:

• Prototype fabrication: A dedicated bay for integrating Hypervan’s all-aluminum modular hyperbaric vessel into the ambulance platform. It supports iteration on the HV-L and HV-S configurations, plus fixture, harness and interior builds alongside Hypervan’s vessel and vehicle partners.

• Testing and verification: Controlled space for systems checkout, pressurization procedure rehearsal, human-factors evaluation and pre-certification readiness work. This supports Hypervan’s regulatory program and its outside structural and crash-test partners.

• Training: A classroom and hands-on area where EMS crews, clinical partners and field-pilot operators practice vehicle operation, chamber procedures and emergency protocols before deployment.

• Showroom: A demonstration space where hospital systems, EMS agencies, defense and industrial customers, and investors can see the platform up close.

Hypervan’s mission comes from the lifelong work of Dr. Keith Van Meter, a pioneer of hyperbaric oxygen therapy delivering HBOT within the first 30 minutes after trauma. Founded in 2017 and awarded patents in 2023, the company combines medical and aerospace engineering to make mobile HBOT the standard of care across civil, military and industrial markets.
